WOO Architects is proud to receive the Innovation Award at The Stadium Business Design & Development Awards 2024 for our work on Paris La Défense Arena.

As part of the Paris 2024 Venue and Infrastructure team, WOO led the arena’s conversion from a rugby and entertainment venue into a world-class Olympic swimming and water polo facility. The design featured two Olympic-sized pools and met the highest international competition standards.

Within just two months, the arena transitioned from hosting Taylor Swift Concerts to staging some of the Olympic Games’ most anticipated swimming events. After the Olympics, the pools were relocated to permanent sites in Sevran and Bagnolet, leaving a lasting legacy.
